In Transcarpathia, an old man died in a fire in his own house

According to her, rescuers received a report of the fire from a neighbor around 8 am.

"The man rushed to help the elderly owner, who lived alone in the house, but the room was already engulfed in flames. Firefighters arrived at the scene and immediately set to contain the fire. They managed to do so at 08:30. The complete elimination of the fire on the area of 12 sq.m lasted almost an hour – until 09:21. In the room, rescuers found the body of the 81-year-old owner," – the spokeswoman said.

The fire destroyed household items in the bedroom and damaged 5 square meters of the ceiling. The amount of damage and the cause of the fire are being established.
