In Transcarpathia, a young man stole a purse from a library

The victim herself caught the thief on the street in Volovets and called the police.

Volovets police received a report that on Myr street in Volovets, a thief had been caught.  

The victim recognized the thief, who had stolen her purse, and detained him on the street.

The rapid response team arrived at the scene. The thief was a 19-year-old resident of the city of Beregovo, previously convicted of theft.

As it turned out, the man entered Volovets House of Culture and stole from the unlocked library room a woman’s purse with 500 hryvnya.

The money was seized and returned to the victim. The thief faces criminal liability.
