In Transcarpathia, a road will be built according to a new technology that is used in 50 countries

Today, September 30, the Head of the Regional State Administration Igor Bondarenko met with the director of the Austrian firm "Holzo GmbH" Csaba Palfy, the manager Josip Ola and the director of the Uzhgorod firm "Holzo Ukraine" LLC Andriy Serbailo.

They discussed the construction of roads in the region. The guests said that they propose to use the new Canadian technology for the construction of roads in Transcarpathia. This technology involves the use of ordinary clay as the main material. Clay is mixed with a special fluid that converts the material into a solid coating. The guarantee for such coating is 10 years, and the cost is 5-6 times less than that of asphalt and concrete one. This technology has been used in 50 countries for the last 30 years. In Ukraine, it is new.

In our region, the use of this technology can significantly speed up the construction of roads, especially rural and forest roads. The first experimental kilometer of clay road is planned to be built between the villages of Danylovo and Oleksandrivka in Khust district in October this year.

– I do not see a reason not to use this unique technology in Transcarpathia. If it proves to be effective, it will accelerate the construction of roads in the region multifold. Our region will set an example for the whole country. I think this is a very good idea because it involves reasonable price and high quality. I can assure you that you will have the full support of the regional state administration in the implementation of this project.
