Today, at around 6am, the driver of a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, ignoring the prohibition light and sound alarms, drove around a closed barrier and collided with the locomotive.
6 passengers of the minivan were injured in the accident. The incident took place in Transcarpathia, the Khust – Bushtyno stretch. An ambulance and the National Police were called to the scene immediately.
According to preliminary information, six passengers of the minivan with injuries of varying severity were transported to Tyachiv City Hospital. The driver and two other passengers refused hospitalization.
Policemen are carrying out investigative activities. The accident did not affect the passenger train schedule, the Ukrzaliznytsya reported.
