Last night, our compatriot, along with two young children, was going to Italy through the checkpoint "Tisa" in a minibus "Mercedes" with Polish registration. The 25-year-old resident of Chernivtsi submitted for passport control permissions from the girls’ parents issued by the Consulate General of Ukraine in Milan. During the check, border guards of the Chop detachment found signs of forgery in the above-mentioned documents. In addition, they found out that at the time of issuance of these documents the girls’ mother was not even in Italy.
The border guards notified the National Police about the found violations, since liability is provided for such actions under Article 358 of the Code of Criminal Procedure "Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale, use of forged documents".
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reminds you, if your child goes abroad without parents, or accompanied by only one parent, a notarized permission of the parents is required. To receive such a document, one has to contact any Ukrainian notary, or, if the parents are abroad, consular offices of Ukraine.
