Border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment, while checking documents of persons entering Ukraine, caught a citizen who tried to cross the border with a forged passport.
The offender arrived at the checkpoint "Kosyno" by a car "Skoda". At the passport control, the man presented a passport of a citizen of Bulgaria. When checking this passport, border guards became suspicious about the validity of the document. The senior border guard decided to conduct in-depth inspection of the passport. As a result of the examination, it was found out that the passport contained signs of forgery.
Later, during the interview, border guards found out that the man was a citizen of Ukraine and lives in a village near Mukachevo. The Ukrainian assured that he had lawfully obtained the passport in Bulgaria.
The report under Art.204-1 of the CAO of Ukrain "Illegal crossing or attempting to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine" was made and the police in the city of Beregovo was informed for making legal decisions.
