In Transcarpathia, a man set fire to a fellow villager’s house because of a conflict

A 40-year-old resident of the village of Bukove in Vynogradiv district at night set fire to a fellow villager’s house because of hostile relations between them. One man was burnt. The arsonist was detained.

Vynogradiv police received a report of a fire in the village of Bukove. An investigative team and a rapid response team arrived at the scene.

As the police found out, around one in the morning, a 40-year-old local resident, an entrepreneur, had come with a canister of gasoline to the house of a 42-year-old fellow villager. There are hostile relations between the men.

The attacker doused the house with gasoline and set it on fire. Due to the fire, a 45-year-old relative of the owner, who ran out of the burning house, suffered burns of the legs.

An investigation over this incident has been initiated. The night arsonist could not explain the reason for his act.
