In Transcarpathia, a man lost his car due to smuggling (PHOTOS)

Illegal transportation of tobacco products was stopped on February 18, 2020, at the customs office "Tisa" of the Transcarpathian Customs.
The cigarettes were being moved by a citizen of Ukraine in a VOLKSWAGEN TRANSPORTER.
The citizen was subjected to customs control in the "red corridor".
Based on signs of specially made caches in the vehicle, customs officers decided to carry out a complete inspection of the car.
Thus, during the customs inspection of the vehicle, customs officers found 500 packs of cigarettes of different brands made in Ukraine. The tobacco products were hidden in the car’s structural cavities.
Thus, the citizen of Ukraine committed actions aimed at moving goods across the customs border of Ukraine concealed from customs control, that is, using specially made caches.
These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations under Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
The report of custom rules violations has been drawn up. The car worth over UAH 210 thousand and the cigarettes worth UAH 19.5 thousand were seized pending court decision.
