In Transcarpathia, a garbage truck driver ran over a pedestrian who was walking behind the truck. The pedestrian died.

Today, August 31, at about 09.50, the police received a report of an accident with victims in the village of V.Luchky in Mukachevo district.

Officers of the police investigating team at the scene established the preliminary circumstances of the accident. As the law enforcement offices found out, the driver of a garbage truck "Man" hit a pedestrian who was walking behind the truck. As a result of the collision, the 81-year-old local resident died at the scene of the accident. The vehicle was driven by a 67-year-old resident of the city of Mukachevo.

Preliminary legal classification of the accident is Part 2 of Art.286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of traffic safety rules, which caused the death of the victim). The investigator will arrange for a number of examinations in order to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.
