In Transcarpathia, a drug trafficker, who tried to bribe an officer of the Security Service of Ukraine, was taken into custody

On January 31, 2019, the Uzhgorod City and District Court of Transcarpathian region imposed a pre-trial restraint in the form of a 60-day custody on a drug trafficker from Transcarpathia. Alternatively, the detainee can be released on bail – over UAH 998.9 thousand.

Recall that the day before, under the procedural control of the military prosecutor’s office of the Uzhgorod garrison, together with the operational staff of the Office of Internal Security of the Security Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region, with the involvement of a special unit "A" of the Security Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region, it was documented that a citizen of Ukraine tried to give unlawful benefit to the head of one of the regional units of the Security Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region.

The bribe amounting to UAH 14 thousand was intended to lieutenant colonel for not interfering with the unlawful activities of the bribe-giver: making and distribution of a particularly dangerous narcotic substance (methamphetamine) in Transcarpathian region.
