Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine, closed a drug lab equipped in a private house of one of the settlements in Transcarpathian region, the press service of the institution informed. During the raid, law enforcement officers arrested four local residents who had organized the clandestine manufacture of psychotropic and narcotic substances.
It was established that the offenders had been selling drugs in Transcarpathia and intended to supply and sell drugs on the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions through interregional criminal connections.
During the authorized searches, officers of the Security Service seized special equipment and precursors for the manufacture of a large batch of the psychotropic substance "meth", remains of ready "products" and about 2 kg of cannabis. Law enforcement officers also found an arsenal of firearms and ammunition, an RGD grenade and a 23 mm shell.
Urgent operational-investigative measures to identify all persons involved in the creation of the drug lab and organization of drug distribution channels in Transcarpathia and east of Ukraine are being taken.
