In Transcarpathia, a car ran over a 7-year-old child; the girl is in intensive care

The police are establishing the circumstances of the accident in the village of Yasinya in Rakhiv district, where a car VAZ-2107 hit a 7-year-old girl

Yesterday, February 8, around 14.00, on the highway Mukachevo-Rohatyn in the village of Yasinya in Rakhiv district, there was an accident, in which a 7-year-old local girl was injured. The police investigative team and the rapid response team arrived at the scene.

Law enforcement officers found out that the 36-year-old driver of a "VAZ-2107", a resident of the city of Rakhiv, had hit a child who was crossing the road in a prohibited place.

As a result of the accident, the 7-year-old girl was injured and taken to the intensive care of Rakhiv district hospital. She has been operated on, her condition is stable.

The police launched a criminal proceeding over the incident under Art.286, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of traffic safety rules). The was taken to the impound lot of Rakhiv police. Investigators are establishing the circumstances of the accident.
