The investigating judge granted the petition approved by the prosecutor of the Vynogradovo branch of the Beregovo local prosecutor’s office, and remanded into custody a 19-year-old resident of Vynogradiv district.
He is suspected of causing intentional grievous bodily harm to his father.
The investigation established that the incident happened last week in the village of Sasovo, Vynogradovo district. There was a conflict between the men, during which the young man stabbed the victim several times with a kitchen knife. The latter was hospitalized in Vynogradovo district hospital, and the attacker was detained by the police in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
The resident of Vynogradiv district is suspected of committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Art. 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by investigators of the Vynogradovo District Police Department under the procedural control of the local prosecutor’s office.
