A large batch of smuggled cigarettes was detained in Transcarpathian region.
50 boxes of Belarusian cigarettes were found by border guards of "Luzhanka" unit of Mukachevo detachment 15 meters away from the border, near the barrier fence. This was reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Also, having checked the surrounding area, border guards found track marks. Subsequently, on the outskirts of the village of Hunyady in Beregovo district the police detained seven Ukrainians. Now the involvement of those citizens in smuggling activities is being checked.
