In Transcarpathia, 126 officials will be prosecuted for abuses in the land sector

Regional prosecution bodies initiated 26 criminal proceedings over the revealed facts of criminal acts (last year, there were only 15).  126 officials have already been brought to justice.

Prosecutors filed claims at more than 10 million hryvnias. About 6.5 million hryvnias has been voluntarily refunded. Recall that thanks to the supervisory and representative measures taken, the illegal provision of land on an area of over 500 hectares, normative monetary evaluation of which is about 12 million hryvnias, has been revoked and prevented (last year, only 199). Claims of prosecutors for another land in area of 262 ha (28), normative monetary evaluation of which is 6.6 million hryvnias, is pending in courts.

Given the fact that the issue of compliance with the requirements of land legislation is a priority for the prosecution of the region, the work of competent authorities, responsible for control over land use and protection of all forms of property, is constantly under monitoring by prosecutors.
