In the men’s room stall, a baby was found

Today, at 14:20, Mukachevo patrol police, received a call that a baby had been found in a stall of the restroom at the railway station.

Within minutes, patrol policemen arrived on Vokzalna street. The baby was wrapped in a white towel and diaper and lying on the floor in one of the stalls the men’s room. She was noticed by a bystander.

The policemen immediately called an ambulance. In 10 minutes, a doctor was examining the child.

It was a girl. According to a preliminary medical examination, she had been born 5-6 hours earlier, the baby was completely healthy, but slightly cold lying on the floor.

According to the station staff, they had not noticed anybody entering the restroom with a newborn baby.

Patrol policemen accompanied by an ambulance took the baby to the Children’s Hospital. They decided to name the girl Lesya – in honor of the patrol policewoman, whose crew found the baby and a doctor from the admission department.
