In the Georgian parliament, deputies scuffled because of Ukraine

On Wednesday, at the plenary session of the Parliament of Georgia, there was a fight between the deputies of the majority and the opposition.

This was reported by "Interfax-Ukraine".

The cause of the incident was the demand by the opposition MP Georgiy Baramidze to support with special resolution the supporters of European integration of Ukraine and condemn the violence against peaceful protesters in Kyiv.

In response to this statement, representatives of the parliamentary majority asked members of the former ruling party "United National Movement" to give a political assessment of the crackdown of the Georgian opposition rallies in Tbilisi in 2007 and 2011.

The dispute between the deputies turned into a fight, but no one was seriously hurt.

After the incident, opposition deputies demanded public apologies from the parliamentary majority, saying that otherwise they refuse to participate in the plenary sessions.
