Investigators of Uzhgorod Police Department are establishing the circumstances of a fatal accident on Bercheni street in Uzhgorod. A car "Opel Omega" drove into a tree, which resulted in the death of a passenger.

On July 27, at 23.00, a 28-year-old resident of Uzhgorod lost control of the car and drove into a tree, after which the engine compartment of the vehicle caught fire. Passersby localized the fire. There was a 29-year-old passenger in the car, who died from his injuries after being hospitalized in Uzhgorod central city hospital. The driver was provided medical assistance and allowed to go home.

The vehicle was taken to the impound lot of Uzhgorod Police Department. The investigation continues.
