In Svalyava, a woman found 20 kilograms of mercury in the garden

Yesterday, experts of the state fire and rescue unit in Svalyava were called by a 50-year-old resident of the city who lives in a house on Kotlyarevsky street.  During excavation, the woman found a plastic bag, containing an unidentified metallic object. The rescuers determined that this object was a metal cylindrical tube, 41 cm long, 10 cm in diameter, with a capacity of 4.5 liters and weighing about 20 kg, which was welded at both ends and covered with corrosion. According to the woman, this object may contain mercury. The scene is guarded by officers of Slalyava District Police.
