In the city of Svalyava, a minor driver ran over two pedestrians. The victims were taken to the district hospital. The police opened an investigation into the accident.
Around 22:40, the police received a report about a road accident with victims on Pershotravneva street in the city of Svalyava.
At the scene of the accident, the investigating team found out the preliminary circumstances of the road accident. As the policemen found out, on the road Perechyn-Svalyava-Lypcha, the driver of a car Volkswagen Golf, moving in the direction of the central part of the city of Svalyava, ran over two pedestrians while overtaking another vehicle.
The victims – a 17-year-old girl in a serious condition and a 22-year-old man – were taken to the hospital by an ambulance.
As the police found out, the driver of the car was a minor. The 17-year-old resident of the city of Svalyava was driving the car of his parents. The boy was sober.
The police opened a criminal proceeding over the accident under part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The vehicle was taken to the impound lot of the police station. The investigation continues. In the course of the investigation, the police will find out all the circumstances and the cause of the accident.
