In Slovakia, four Transcarpathian smugglers have been arrested

Near the village of Benyatina in Sobrance district, four kilometers away from the Ukrainian-Slovak border, Slovak police officers detained six smugglers who were carrying contraband cigarettes on the shoulders. Among them, there were four citizens of Ukraine and two citizens of Slovakia.  The estimated cost of the contraband is 16,650 euros. The citizens were carrying in bags 900 cartons of cigarettes without excise stamps. All smugglers were arrested, they are under investigation. According to preliminary information, the offenders crossed the border near the village of Novoselytsia in Perechyn district.
