In six weeks, seriously ill residents of Mukachevo received almost 1.5 million hryvnia of assistance

The Labor and Social Protection Department of Mukachevo city executive committee has paid UAH 1 million 364 thousand 560 of financial aid to seriously ill citizens. Thus, they "closed" 428 appeals that have accumulated since the middle of March and during April.

Recall that in March, the State Treasury suspended the payment of social welfare at the request of the Cabinet. Because of that, the city was not able to provide financial aid for almost three weeks. When the payments were unblocked, there was enough money only for a portion of appeals. The department experts prepared amendments to the city program, increasing the budget by 2 million. This decision was unanimously supported by deputies of

Mukachevo City Council. Thus, currently, the Mayor’s orders on providing financial assistance of 1, 8 and 25 of April have been funded.
Most appeals were for expensive treatment. Note that this type of assistance provides for financial support to people who need complex surgery, arthroplasty, cataract surgery, and more.
