In Rakhiv, the police are investigating the circumstances of an accident in which a man died (PHOTOS)

In the village of Chorna Tisa in Rakhiv district, an unknown car hit a man and fled from the accident site. After the "Interception" plan was put into operation, the police found the car and the driver. A criminal proceeding over the accident was opened.

Last night, around 02.30, the police received a report that in the village of Chorna Tisa an accident had happened. Officers of the investigation team of the Rakhiv Police Department found out that an unknown car had hit a lying man and fled from the accident site. On the road, near the victim, a part of a mudguard from a car SKODA was also found.

After conducting search operations, the police found a car with damages characteristic of road traffic accidents. The car was parked in one of the yards in the village where the accident had occurred. The driver refused to explain anything. Currently, the test for alcohol content in the driver’s blood is being conducted.

The victim was a 35-year-old resident of the village of Yasinya in Rakhiv district. A criminal proceeding over the incident was opened under Part 2 of Art.286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – Violation of traffic safety rules. The investigation is ongoing.
