In Rakhiv, the Christmas tree was lit (PHOTOS)

On December 19, in the city center, in front of the Regional House of Culture, there was a solemn lighting of the main district Christmas tree.

The audience were entertained by presenters, kids with their parents were dancing around the Christmas tree and singing songs. Traditionally, the New Year beauty and all those present at the opening were blessed by Father Mykhailo. New Year and Christmas mood for residents and visitors of Rakhiv was also created by Santa Claus (Nazar Kabalyuk) and Snow Maiden (Carolina Zaporozhanu), who entertained the kids.

Father Mykhailo Shutko announced the winners of the annual festive drawing contest "Saint Nicholas through my eyes." The organizers, as well as Santa Clause and Snow Maiden gave New Year’s goodies to all the young participants of the event. The inauguration of the Christmas tree was also attended by the management of the district administration, who congratulated all citizens on the upcoming holidays.

The main entertainment program was presented by amateur groups of the District House of Culture.
