On February 14, at 23:20, on the stretch Yasinya – Rakhiv, Transcarpathia, the driver of a "Volkswagen Passat" drove onto the track in front of the train Lviv – Rakhiv.
The train driver applied the emergency brake, but could not avoid the collision. As a result of the accident, the car was heavily damaged, and on the locomotive, the wheel-sweeper broke.
The car driver fled from the scene. Nobody was killed or injured as a result of the accident. The investigation continues.
