A seasonal worker from the village of Yasinya filed a statement in Rakhiv police department. The man illegally cut down two trees in the forest, which became known to the forest master of Lopukhovo Forestry. However, instead of writing the relevant protocol and penalizing the offender, the forester decided to earn some money. The official demanded a bribe in the amount of UAH 4000.
After the appeal the case was taken by officers of the State Service for Fighting Economic Crimes, who detained the said forester in the village bar. They seized the money in the amount of four thousand hryvnias.
On this fact the question of instituting the criminal proceedings under Art. 368 Part 3 of the Criminal Code (bribery in especially large amount) is being resolved – informs the Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Transarpathian region.
