The State Emergencies Service informs on the situation in the region due to flooding.
The liquidation of the aftermath of flooding in some settlements in the basins of the mountain rivers in Transcarpathian region is ongoing.
As of 15.00, 206 households remain flooded, including 132 residential houses in Mizhhirya, Tyachiv and Rakhiv districts.
Units of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine have pumped about 760 cubic meters of water out of 55 households, including 30 residential buildings.
The water level continues to drop down from the peak marks within the following settlements: the village of Kolochava in Mizhhirya district (down by 180 cm), the city Rakhiv (by 60 cm) and the village of Ust-Chorna (190 cm) in Tyachiv district.
Forces and means of civil defense of district state administrations, State Emergencies Service units, the National Police, road organizations and the Tisa river basin water resources management in total amount of 185 people and 40 vehicles are engaged in flood protection works.
The monitoring of hydrological situations in river basins, where there is a threat of flooding of settlements, is being conducted.
According to the Ukrainian Weather Center, within the next day, precipitation in the form of rain, in mountainous areas – wet snow are expected in Transcarpathia. In the lower reaches of the Tisa river, near the town of Vylok and the city of Chop, the rise of water level with the release of water on the floodplain is expected.
The situation is under constant control of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine.
