In Rakhiv and Tyachiv districts, foresters hunt for poachers

Employees of Tyachiv and Rakhiv district forestries have started a hunt. They hunt for poachers. Illegal hunting for animals mostly takes place at night. In the dark, rabbits, foxes and wild boars go out to the forest and to the sides of the roads looking for food. And at this time, poachers go out to hunt for animals.

In order to protect the animals, employees of the Velyky Bychkiv, Yasinya, Brustury and Mokra forestry enterprises constantly arrange inspections of all forests. Anyone, who is caught poaching, is punished by big fines and confiscation of weapons. During a season, several dozens such violators get caught.

Leading specialist of the forest and hunting management department of the Transcarpathian Regional Forest and Hunting Range Administration Adalbert Potish: "During the preventive measures, forestry employees in 9 months conducted 152 raids for observance of the rules of hunting, including 8 together with representatives of law enforcement agencies. Four reports of administrative violation were drawn up against violators and sent to the law enforcement agencies for consideration."
