Mountain running enthusiasts celebrated the Day of Physical Culture and Sport with the race to one of the steepest peaks of the Borzhava ridge – the Gymba mountain (1497 meters above sea level).
The race Gymba Skyrun 2016 was organized in Pylypets by the company "Sport and tourist club "Track" and the store Gorgany.com, the chief referee was Nazar Protsiv. Under the merciless sun, the participants ran the distance of over 7.5 km with almost 800-meter vertical climb.
Among men, the first to reach the top of the Gymba was Andriy Ivanov from Uzhgorod with the result of 47 minutes and 5 seconds, Yuriy Rasko from Kyiv was the second, Roman Chepil from Lviv – the third. Mykola Kost from the village of Soimy in Mizhhirya district showed the fourth result.
Among women, Nina Raschupkina from Mukachevo finished with the time of 1 hour, 5 minutes and 53 seconds and became the winner, Olga Viyuk from Rivne showed the second result, sisters Nina and Katerina Tsepurdey from Mukachevo showed the third time.
