“In our paradise on Earth” premiered in “Bavka”

Recently, the Transcarpathian Regional Academic Puppet Theatre "Bavka" presented the premiere of the children’s play "In our paradise on Earth."  Last Sunday, it opened its 34th theater season, and already this Sunday, Transcarpathian viewers saw the production staged by the honored artist of Ukraine Oleksandr Kutsyk based upon the works of Taras Shevchenko. This year, they celebrate the 200th anniversary of Shevchenko, therefore the puppet theater presented the second production (designed for junior and middle-age audience).

Several months ago, actors showed the experimental performance based on two pieces of Transcarpathian writer Oleksandr Havrosh "The pages of the poet’s diary" staged by Mykola Karpenko with sets by Tetyana Porynets. The visual image of the play was created by stage designer Tetyana Ulynets and light designer Irina Osokina. It was played by actors: Svitlana Kobzysta, Mykola Karpenko, Andriy Opiok, Oleksandr Belikov.

By this show, they bring Shevchenko’s poetry to contemporary children.
