The index of consumer prices (inflation) in the region and the country in October 2017 amounted to 101.2% compared to September, since the beginning of the year – 111.2% and 111.5% respectively.
In the consumer market of the region, in October 2017, food prices went up by 1.3% compared to September, the State Statistics Department in Transcarpathian region reported.
Prices for eggs went up the most – by 16.4%. Prices for milk increased by 2.9%, vegetables – by 2.5%, meat and meat products – by 1.2%, cheese and soft cheese (cottage cheese) – by 1.9%. Meanwhile, prices for fruits fell by 1.8%, for sugar – by 2.2%.
Prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products in general increased by 1.3%, including alcoholic beverages – by 1.9%, tobacco products – by 0.5%.
The increase in prices for transport by 2.2% was caused by an increase in proces for fuel and lubricants by 4.8%, transport services – by 0.4%.
