In October, 5 Transcarpathians were deprived of Hungarian citizenship

• Kekis Marianna, born in 1990, Svalyava
• Hafynets Dominik, born in 2009, Svalyava
• Surmai Janos (Ivan), born in 1981, Uzhgorod
• Hrabarchuk Sandor (Oleksandr), born in 1960, Chop

The reasons for the revocation of citizenship were not disclosed.

As previously reported by the Hungarian authorities, many people from other countries have fraudulently obtained Hungarian citizenship under the simplified procedure. Their documents are being checked, and if the fact of fraud is confirmed, the documents for obtaining Hungarian citizenship are canceled.
