Dutch Shepherd Django has been serving at the Hungarian customs office NAV for 10 months now, the Mukachevo.net writes. He has detected 39 cases of transportation of contraband cigarettes and drugs.
Recently, the dog found in a Mercedes van on the highway M1, 360 hidden cartons of cigarettes.
The dog training took five months. He can find not only cigarettes, but also drugs (hashish, marijuana, amphetamines, cocaine, heroin). Hungarian customs officers take Django for inspection of cars. And he never fails.
According to the customs officers, smugglers carry cigarettes from Serbia and Ukraine to Austria and Germany, where they sell them at 4-5 euros per pack. But Django has never let such goods go past him.
