At the session of Mukachevo City Council to be held on the last day of October, they plan to adopt provisions on the conduct of investment tender to attract investors to modernize the public water utility "Mukachivvodokanal." Also, the city deputies intend to approve the tender commission – chaired by the mayor of Mukachevo, Zoltan Lendyel, and all deputies of the mayor will be deputies of the chairman of the commission.
As stated in the explanatory memorandum to the draft decision, the tender will be carried out "due to the current financial and economic situation at the enterprise." Under the terms of the contest, the investor undertakes to modernize the water utility. Also the investor must provide round the clock water supply to the city residents, rebuild water systems and wastewater treatment plants and significantly reduce water loss during its transportation from water intakes to the consumers.
Who exactly will become the investor-philanthropist for the city water utility will be announced in November, when the tender is scheduled to be held.
