Today, the deputies of the city council approved the new revision of the "Program of the support for the MU "Mukachivvodokanal" in 2016". The total amount of financial resources needed to implement the program is UAH 42 million. 800 thousand. Currently, just over two million is allocated for its implementation.
The basic problem in functioning of the MU "Mukachivvodokanal" is the accumulation of payables and receivables, lack of funds for the full payments for consumed electricity, repayment of arrears on taxes and fees. Another problem is excessive losses and unaccounted water consumption (losses in 2015 amounted to 37.1%). The issues of water supply in the city will also be resolved under the program funding.
Currently, the tariff for water supply and sanitation in Mukachevo remains the lowest in the region.
