In Mukachevo district, a man smashed tombstones in a cemetery

In the village of Dertsen in Mukachevo district, a man damaged 23 tombstones in a local cemetery. The police opened a criminal proceeding.

As established by the police, a 53-year-old man, a resident of the village of the Dertsen was involved in the offense. At night on May 23, he toppled 23 tombstones.

The police initiated a criminal proceeding under Part 1 of Art. 297 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is, desecration of graves. Police officers ask for compulsory medical measures against the suspect. Now he is in a specialized medical institution. The investigation into the criminal offense continues, – the police informs.
