In Mukachevo district, a drunk man shot at his daughter

During s family quarrel, a 66-year-old resident of the village of Kopynivtsi in Mukachevo district made two shots with a hunting rifle at his 32-year-old daughter. Fortunately, she survived. The shooter was detained by the police.

Today, about 00.30, the police received a report of a shooting in Mukachevo district.

A resident of the village of Kopynivtsi reported that his father had wounded his daughter with a hunting rifle. He also said that his sister was alive and in the hospital, and that he had taken the weapon.

Rapid response team of Mukachevo district police arrived at the scene. As it turned out, the crime had been committed by a 66-year-old resident of the village of Kopynivtsi in Mukachevo district. Having had too much alcohol (the test showed 1.67 ppm of alcohol in his blood), during a family quarrel, the man grabbed his hunting rifle "IZH-12" (legally registered) and made two shots at his 32-year-old daughter, who was standing in the yard.

The woman sufffered a gunshot wound of the chest and arm. The son took the rifle from the drunken man. He also called ambulance and the police.

The woman underwent surgery, her condition is stable. The police opened criminal proceeding against the shooter.The crime is classified as attempted murder.
