In Mukachevo, children found a fake grenade while playing on their own yard

On the evening of September 17, Mukachevo district police department received a report from a resident of the village of Kolchyno. The applicant reported that her children were walking in the yard and had found an object similar to a grenade.

According to the investigator, police officers and explosive experts immediately arrived at the scene. In the yard at the applicant’s place of residence, they found a shell of a grenade with no explosive material inside. This object was not usable, it was a replica of a grenade F-1. Explosive engineers removed this object.

This object was not dangerous, but the police are grateful to the woman and her children who, after finding the suspicious object, followed the basic safety rules, did not touch it and reported it to the police.

The police registered this incident in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
