On Yaroslav Mudry street in the city of Mukachevo, an unknown man, threatening a shop clerk with a knife, stole UAH 5520 from the cash register. The police quickly identified and detained the suspect – a resident of Volyn region. Investigators initiated a criminal proceeding over robbery.
A 22-year-old woman reported to the Mukachevo police department that at about 03.50, an unknown person had burst into the shop, where she worked, and stole cash at the amount of UAH 5520.
The policemen quickly arrived at the scene and found out that the man had stolen the money threatening the shop clerk with a knife. During the attack, the robber inflicted to the woman injuries in the form of cutting wounds of the fingers.
Officers of the Mukachevo criminal police quickly identified the attacker. The 27-year-old resident of Volyn region, who is suspected of the crime, was arrested the next day after the robbery in the city of Lviv.
He is charged with committing a robbery combined with breaking and entering under Part 3 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court imposed on him a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention. The investigation in the case is ongoing.
