In Mukachevo, a memorial plaque to Vysotsky was opened (PHOTOS)

At the initiative of the NGO "Civil activists of Mukachevo", in the city on the Latorica, there was the inauguration of the plaque to Vladimir Vysotsky – in memory of his residence in the Transcarpathian city in 1951-1956, at Tolstoy street, house number 29.

The city residents, who gathered on November 12 at this address, noted that such event should had been held in Mukachevo long ago, because it was at that time, when young Volodya would come year after year for the school holidays at his uncle’s house, when his personality, which made Vysotsky the idol for millions of citizens of the former Soviet Union, was forming.

The marble plaque was made for the money raised by admirers of Vysotsky’s talent and personality, and placed on the facade of the house number 29 on Tolstoy street.

The event, as noted by the head of the Civil Activists Vadim Harsevanishvili took place during the festival "French Autumn in Mukachevo," and was held without pomp and fervor.

In a warm and friendly atmosphere that prevailed at this celebration, childhood friends, who together with Volodya would run in yards and on streets of Mukachevo, shared with all present their memories of that restless boy with a guitar who even back then was a real leader of the whole neighbourhood!
