In Mukachevo, on Kyivska Street, a motorcycle hit a woman. The victim ended up in the hospital, and the driver fled from the scene. The culprit in the accident was identified, criminal proceeding over this incident has been initiated.
In the evening of May 2, Mukachevo police received a report of an accident in the district center. As the police found out, on Kyivska street in Mukachevo, a sport bike hit a woman who was crossing the road. The driver of the motorcycle fled the scene, and the 42-year-old victim was taken to hospital. Doctors diagnosed the woman with concussion, head, chest and leg injury.
The police initiated the plan "Interception" to find and arrest the culprit in the accident. Soon, a 32-year-old resident of Mukachevo came to the police and confessed to the hit-and-run. According to the young man, he was riding a motorcycle "Aprilia" on Kyivska Street, two women were crossing the road, but he did not notice them because he was blinded by the light of the oncoming car, and hit one of them.
The police started criminal proceeding over this incident under Part 1 of Art. 286 (violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The motorcycle was taken to the impound lot. The examination showed that the driver was sober. Investigators are establishing the circumstances of the accident.
