In Mizhhirya district, three masked thugs robbed a businesswoman

At night, August 27 in the village of Izky in Mizhhirya district, there was a robbery in the house of a 47-year-old female entrepreneur. Three masked thugs knocked the front door and entered the house. The attackers tied the woman’s hands and feet with tape demanding money and valuables. They threatened her with death.

Taking 80,000 UAH worth of goods, the attackers fled. 

Officers of the criminal investigation department began investigating the case. It was found out that the attackers had driven up to the house by a car. Three of them burst into the house, the fourth one stayed in the street.

After a persistent search, the police eventually identified all four robbers. Those were young men aged 21-25 years. Pretrial restraint in the form of a house arrest was imposed on one them. The fate of the second one will be decided by Mizhhirya district court. Another two members of the gang are wanted. 

The attacker’s car was taken to the impound lot.

Criminal proceeding was opened over this incident under Part 3 of Art.187 (robbery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation continues. 

Also, the police found out that the gang had committed an attack on the local store in the village of Velyatino in Khust district. The masked thugs damaged a grocery store, a car and beat its owner. The investigation over the hooliganism is ongoing.
