In Mizhhirya district, more than two hundred prohibited items were seized during the search in a pensioner’s house

The policemen will establish the origin and purpose of keeping the dangerous items.

 According to the communication department of the Transcarpathian regional police, officers of the Mizhhirya Police Department found more than two hundred cartridges to rifle weapons and explosive gunpowder during a court-authorized search in a pensioner’s house. An investigation over this incident has been initiated.

"On May 28, in the village of Kelechin in Mizhhirya district, police officers, on the grounds of a court order raided the house of a 67-year-old woman. The policemen found in a safe 218 cartridges to rifle weapons and a substance similar to explosive gunpowder weighing about 150 grams", – law enforcement officers inform.

The cartridges and the mixture were sent for examination. Investigation was initiated under to Art. 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
