In Mizhhirya district, a woman killed her lover with an ax because of jealousy

The murder occurred in the village of Verkhniy Studeny in Mizhhirya district

At midnight, the police received a message from a 27-year-old local woman that she had found the body of a man.

When the police arrived, the woman said that the dead man was her 29-year-old fellow villager. The police examined the body of the man and it was clear that he had died a violent death. Investigators with dogs arrived at the scene. First, they identified the victim. It was a 32-year-old resident of Lviv region. It was clear that the woman had lied about the victim’s identity. Later, they found an ax, which, as it turned out, the man had been killed with.

The police eventually found out that the woman, who reported about the body, was, in fact, the murderer. Subsequently she confessed that she had killed the man because of jealousy. The woman was taken to the temporary detention facility, a criminal case was opened, the choice of a pre-trial retraint against the murderer is being decided – the police reported.
