Two men were killed in an accident, which occurred at night in the village of Kolochava. Another person injured in the accident was taken to intensive care unit with multiple injuries. The police began an investigation.
Yesterday, August 22, at about 22:00, a resident of the village of Kolochava reported to the police that a truck had overturned in a forest.
The investigative team, which arrived at the scene, found out that around 20:00 the driver of a truck Ural loaded with wood was moving on a dirt road from the forest area of the "Cherenyna" tract and lost control. As a result, the truck drove off the road and fell into a ravine.
As a result of the accident, two crew members died on the spot, and the third one was taken to the intensive care unit of Mizhhirya District Hospital.
The police opened a criminal proceeding over an accident under Part 3 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of rules of road safety or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles which caused the death of several persons – punishable by imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with the deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years).
