“In memory of Ilovaisk”: Uzhgorod colleagues will honor the killed defenders of Ukraine (Announcement)

The event which, though reminding about the great tragedy, is intended to honor the memory of defenders of Ukraine was announced by the head of the NGO "Brothers of Ukraine. Uzhgorod" Mykola Marchyshak.

August 29, 2016 is another bloody anniversary in the modern history of Ukraine. Two years ago, near Ilovaisk in Donetsk region, after entrapment of Ukrainian soldiers by outnumbering occupation troops, the Russian Ministry of Defense guaranteed safe retreat, but these agreements, once again, were not fulfilled, and the convoys of our soldiers were shelled.
However, some soldiers survived this bloodbath, including Transcarpathians.
On Monday, 29.08.2016, at 12:00, on Teatralna Square, in Uzhgorod, those who managed to survive the Ilovaisk tragedy of 2014, will honor the memory of the fallen colleagues. Because remembering is a sacred duty of each of us to those who sacrificed for the peaceful sky over our heads the most valuable – their lives.
Come and honor the memory of the fallen for freedom!
