In May, Uzhgorod residents will be able to spend an unforgettable night in any museum of the city (Announcement)

Uzhgorod will join the worldwide campaign "Night at the Museum," which runs from 21 to 22 of May, for the first time. Virtually all museums will be involved in the campaign initiated by the NGO "Hont", the zakarpattya.net.ua informs.

Victoria Herbut, the head of the NGO "Hont", the curator of the event said that the campaign would take place on the night of 21 to 22 of May. "We have a great cultural and artistic heritage in Uzhgorod. So it’s great that the city joins such campaign. It will be held at five locations – three major museums, the "Ilko" gallery and the cafe-museum "Pid Zamkom."

Also many events are scheduled for the next week. The 9th International Competition "Silver Bells" starts after a long break. On May 17-19, the traditional "Erdelyi readings" will be held; during the event, a capsule will be set in the village of Zahattya in Irshava district, the birthplace of Erdelyi, a monument to the artist will be opened there soon.
