Today, about 10 o’clock, traffic police officers conducting preventive measures for passenger transport in Khust stopped a «Mercedes Vito» minibus driven by a 57-year old local resident.
At that moment there were 15 passengers in the van, although the specifications for this vehicle and the category of the driving license allowed for transportation of no more than 7 passengers. But the owner of the car came out of this situation by putting ordinary wooden stools in the cabin.
Of course, he had no insurance policy and license for public conveyance. In addition, the inspectors could not but to notice obvious signs of intoxication of the driver, which was confirmed by «Drager» breathalyzer. The driver did not even deny this fact and explained that he had been at his friend’s birthday party.
Clearly, the traffic policemen did not allow the driver to continue driving, but ensured safe delivery of passengers to their destination – reports Traffic Police Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Transcarpathian region.
