February 22, 2014, in Khust district council, on the initiative of factions "Batkivshchyna" and "UDAR", there was the constituent assembly to create the city and district organization "People’s Self-Defense".
As a result, they approved the charter and elected the head of the said organization, deputy of the district council Oleksandr Patskan.
The newly elected head Oleksandr Patskan appealed to all patriots, concerned residents of the city and the district to join the "People’s Self-Defense" to protect public order.
The Charter of the City and District Organization was agreed with the Chief of Khust City police Colonel Vasyl Turday, the website of Khust district council informed.
