On October 13, around 23.30, in the village of Iza in Khust district, an accident occured. a BMW with a foreign registration was moving from Iza towards Khust. The driver lost control, drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a car "Volkswagen Golf".
A family of a father, a mother and a 20-year-old son were riding in a "Golf". The latter was behind the wheel.
As a result of the accident, 46-year-old mother of the driver died. The son is in intensive care, and the man is in the trauma department of Khust hospital.
After the accident, the driver of the BMW fled the scene, leaving the car. The police officers identified the owner – the car belongs to a 28-year-old resident of Khust.
The police initiated criminal proceeding over the incident, and the car was taken to the impound lot. Law enforcement officers are searching for the perpetrator of the fatal accident.
